I read the first 35 pages or so and when I picked it back up again, I could not put it down until I finished. He and his brother ken have had a hard life. So much of the story is about the babies and Jack, Briony, and Ken as a family.
But a mission to rescue his brother in the jungle has left him vulnerable to rebel forces. Rebels and soldiers are everywhere, and they know Jack has to leave the country, but when he leaves, he takes Birony’s heart with him.
He lay for a moment, his face in the muck, and let himself breathe before pushing to his feet and running in a crouch back toward the taller trees.
This fehan to be my favorite ghostwalker couple. I think that he was authentic. It flows along with the rest of the series and can work as a standalone story. But a mission conspiracg rescue his brother in the jungle has left him vulnerable to rebel forces. The moment the guards moved on, he began to inch toward the forest again. However, as always Feehan delivers a well paced story and a couple you have to love, I was left wanting a tad more.
